IEEE MADRAS SECTION (IEEE MAS) provides partial travel support for IEEE members to attend Conferences / Symposiums – National and International that are either organized or supported by IEEE.  Travel Grant (TG) will be provided to IEEE Members of Madras Section once in two years. The applicant should be an author and must have registered for the event. The applicant must have not availed TG for the same event from other funding agencies in order to avoid double claim. In case, the applicant has got approval for TG from other agencies at a later stage, a decision on TG should be informed to IEEE MAS. A soft copy of the filled-in application form (in pdf format) must be sent to the IEEE MAS office as an e-mail attachment at least three months before the event date for International events and at least one month before for domestic events. The hard copy of the application is also to be sent to the Section Office within a week of the email of the soft copy. The application is to be filled in by the Applicant and countersigned by the Head of the Institution where the applicant is studying/working.

A maximum of Rs. 5000/- for attending conferences within India and up to Rs. 15000/- for attending conferences abroad. TG is meant for travel expenses only and the applicant should submit proof of registration while applying for the travel grant. The TG will be provided as a reimbursement after the event on the submission of relevant documents.
