Travel Grant for International Paper/Project Presentations

IEEE Madras Section is pleased to launch the travel grant for international paper/ project presentation in conference and events. This grant is to financially assist the extraordinary achievements by a professional/ student member engaged in project/ paper activities, thereby conforming the IEEE objectives and purposes. These would include:
1. Have skills in promoting the organisation and section through their project / paper works.

2. Have excellent qualities like the innovation, imagination, creativity etc.
3. By this means show the significant value addition that the IEEE has added.

IEEE continues to be the world’s largest professional association creating technologies and standards to make a positive impact on humanity. IEEE Madras Section, being the large IEEE section in globe, is continuously striving to enhance the knowledge and learning of its members under its geographical area of influence.

Eligibility:

All professional/ student members affiliated to IEEE Madras Section are eligible to apply for this grant. The applicant should have minimum two years of active volunteering records at the time of applying for the travel grant.

Application Deadline:

The application for the travel grant has to reach the IEEE Madras Section at least 50 days prior to the conference/ event date.

Travel Grant Guidelines:

  • A sum of Rs.10,000/- will be given as Travel Grant (TG) to a member.
  • The total number of TG per financial year will be 10.
  • The TG will be on first come first served basis.
  • The TG is restricted to one per institution from which the applications are received.
  • The TG is meant for travel support only and not for registration and other purposes. The applicant should have registered for the event and submit proof while applying for the TG.
  • The event should be at an international venue.
  • The participation in the event should be oral presentation or hardware prototype/ working model demonstration.
    (Mere participation as a delegate or as the chairman of a session in the event etc. will not be considered for TG).
  • After the evaluation of the application by the designated subcommittee, the IEEE Madras Section will suitably inform the applicant about the TG.
  • The TG will be provided as a reimbursement after the event on submission of relevant documents.
  • The decision of the executive committee of IEEE Madras Section is final and further communication will not be entertained in this regard.
