About the I&M Society

The IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society is dedicated to the development and use of electrical and electronic instruments and equipment to measure, monitor and/or record physical phenomena.  The society provides the standards and systems that are profoundly used in Process Control, Automation sectors. It also sets the benchmark for the measuring devices including analog, digital, safety instrumentation and applied technology.

There is a consortium for technical excellence where interaction and sharing of knowledge happens. This group conducts seminars, conferences and workshops in a periodical manner to enrich the community and its society members

As per the Instrumentation and Measurement Society Governance and Structure, The Society is organized and operated according to the rules approved by members and the IEEE.
