Brief history:
The IEEE COMMUNICATIONS SOCIETY MADRAS CHAPTER was inaugurated in the month of July 2007 by Dr Suresh Chander Paul, Past Chairman, IEEE Madras Section with Mr Sivan Ramachandran as the first Chairperson and Mr Mohanavel as its Secretary and Treasurer. The membership strength of the Chapter which was at 365 in 2007 has now steadily grown to 772 in 2014.
